Business and Service Programs
NewWell Fund provides loans for business and for service programs through its partnership with SunTrust Bank. This partnership brings to businesses a statewide program that assists with financing for companies that cater to or serve individuals with disabilities as well as those that want to create more job opportunities and more accessible services for people with disabilities. The NewWell Fund may provide assistance to applicants who do not meet SunTrust's normal credit standards. By doing so, the NewWell Fund may be able to help companies that might otherwise have difficulty obtaining a loan.
Any type of business in Virginia may apply for a loan to make the business more accessible for customers with disabilities, and any nonprofit or for profit business serving people with disabilities (e.g., group homes, recreation centers, etc.) may apply for a low interest NewWell Fund loan.
